At a very early age I began drawing and painting. Before even using a paint brush for the first time I was completely seduced by the famous artist works of Turner, Van Gog and Gauguin. When I began to study art I soon discovered the artists of the Renaissance period, Michaelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo Da Vinci. Michaelangelo’s paintings influenced me in the importance of the expression or action in the figures. As my studies progressed I discovered Klimt and Picasso. I admire Klimt freedom with witch he treats everything.
I am inspired by flowers for their obvious beauty. I fill the canvas with them to express an abundance of life and strong feeling. Flowers, like people, are completely individual- each has its own personal aura and style.

I paint in oils, acrylics, watercolor and use mix media.In my new artwork you can find figures surrounded in decorative patterns and abstract forms. I like to use color, shape, pattern and line as my tools to express the essence of that beauty. I have two visions: one the vision of the eye, the other the vision of the mind or imagination.
While painting the subject, I begin to simplify the form and erase details for emphasis and purity. Trying to reproduce the light and mood of the subject, I experiment with composition, tone and color, seeking a balance.
I consider myself modern impressionist.
Painting is my passion. It’s an obsession! I see a blank canvas and I can’t wait to start putting paint on it. Each tiny stroke for me is mysterious and beguiling. The act of creating the custom, fine art painting is pure pleasure.
